You know, my tiki bar is full of horror memorabilia...what would a tiki mug for it look like....
When I had that thought, I didn't really know it would lead here and still be going strong 5 years later. From the Horror In Clay Cthulhu Tiki Mug, to the Innsmouth Fogcutter, to the Cask of Amontillado and Rue Morgue Ape mug, I've loved meeting all of you and inviting you to share these strange little ideas and innuendos. I've loved working with folks like Netherworld and Pseudopod.org who both work hard in their own ways to make Horror fun and accessible. Mostly, I'm grateful for all the fun tiki and horror fans I've met and new experiences I've had. Thank you!
At the time, I also wanted to design my own Hawaiian shirt (now it's probably #tropigoth, but then I just wanted a horror themed tiki shirt that fit me). It took me 5 years, but I designed the tapa print, and while I was at it, designed this Mai Tai glass with the same interlocking design.
It lovingly references my mugs, and also some projects that are new or in the works.
16oz Libbey Mai Tai glass. 3 color screen print on clear glass.
We had an epic glass release party at The Highlander, an Atlanta bar, on August 24th.
